NPL's Compass Graduate Development Program (GDP) is open to individuals in the disciplines of:

NPL's professional development program COMPASS, is Barrick Gold's flagship program for the training and development of new graduates and promotes a sound and professional path in career development.

This program is designed to provide new graduates or employees entering the industry with a development program that provides both solid foundation of technical and or/professional knowledge  and skills coupled  with leadership skill development.

The Compass program enables graduates and professionals to learn and acquire necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to become experts and business leaders of the future. Employees learn on the job interacting with site experts, global networks and resources.

The Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province, Papua New Guinea, is owned by the Porgera Joint Venture (PJV).

It is operated by Barrick (Niugini) Limited (“BNL”) which owns 95 percent participating interest in PJV. The remaining 5% is owned by Mineral Resources Enga (MRE) Limited.
